R. Ian Lennox

Chairman/CEO of Ricerca Biosciences, LLC
Mr. Lennox is Chairman of Ricerca Biosciences, LLC, a private, preclinical contract research drug development company based in Concord, Ohio.
Previously, he served as President & CEO, MDS Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Markets (NYSE; 2001-2004); President & CEO, Phoenix International Life Sciences (NASDAQ; 1999-2000); Chairman & CEO, Drug Royalty Corporation, Inc. (TSE; 1996-2003). In addition, he served in numerous positions in North and South America with Monsanto Company (NYSE) including President & CEO (Canada; 1978-1996).
He currently serves as director, Ambit Biosciences, Spectral Diagnostics Corporation and Tekmira Biosciences. His previous board experience includes serving as Chairman of Stressgen Biotechnologies and Drug Royalty Corp. He also served as a Director of GenSci Regeneration, Inc. Marsulex, Inc., Hemosol, Inc. and MDS Capital.
Mr. Lennox is an HBSc (Physiology & Pharmacology) and MBA graduate of the University of Western Ontario, London. He attended Columbia Business School.
Gerald Jacobson

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Gerald "Gary" Jacobson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ricerca with responsibility for controllership, tax, legal, human resources, facilities and IT.
Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Harlan Sprague Dawley, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of Harlan Europe (1999-2005), Senior Vice President and Division Manager of LaSalle National Bank (1994-1998) and Senior Vice President/ Vice President of NBD/American National Bank (1985-1993).
Mr. Jacobson is a graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, IL. He holds a certificate in political economy from the Adam Smith School of Economics in Glasgow, Scotland, and received his MBA from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Mark T. Crane

Vice President Business Development and Marketing
Mr. Crane joined Ricerca as Vice President Business Development and Marketing in June of 2007. Mr. Crane has overseen development of the new Ricerca “IP to IND” brand as well as development of the web site and sales literature.
Prior to joining Ricerca, Mr. Crane served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for both Bridge Global Pharmaceutical Services and Quest Pharmaceutical Services. Mr. Crane was also a Vice President of Global Business Development, Preclinical/Discovery Services for MDS Pharmaceutical Services, and held various posts at MDS Panlabs, AVANTEC, Inc. and the Perkin Elmer Corporation.
Mr. Crane holds a B.S. degree in health education/community health from Western Connecticut State University at Danbury.
Timothy E. Tinkler

Secretary and General Counsel
Mr. Tinkler has been with the Ricerca organization since its founding in 1986. He is Secretary and General Counsel, a position he has held since 1986. In this position he is responsible for all legal matters of Ricerca.
Between 1959 & 1986 Mr. Tinkler held various positions with Diamond Shamrock Corporation and SDS Biotech, the most recent as General Patent Counsel. In this capacity he was primarily responsible for handling all patent, trademark and licensing matters of the corporation.
Mr. Tinkler has a B.S. Chemistry, Lake Erie College and a J.D. Law, Cleveland State University
James R. Szabo, DVM, Ph.D., DACVP

Vice President Biology Services
Dr. Szabo joined Ricerca as Vice President, Biology Services in 2007. In this capacity he is responsible for the oversight of all operational groups in Biology including Toxicology, Pathology, Bioanalytical, and Metabolism. Dr. Szabo assigns Study Directors and works with clients/sponsors to advise and direct toxicology and pathology activities involved in the design, implementation, and interpretation of results from toxicology studies.
From 2004 to 2007, Dr. Szabo held various positions at Bridge Global Pharmaceutical Services (formerly Gene Logic, Inc.), Gaithersburg, MD, as Senior Veterinary Pathologist, Senior Director Pathology Services, and Vice President, Toxicology. Dr. Szabo was previously a Research Leader at Dow Chemical Company for eight years.
Dr. Szabo has a M.S. & Ph.D., Pathology, University of Illinois, as well as a B.S. & Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois. He is also a member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Jack Jiang, Ph.D.

Drug Discovery
Dr. Jiang is the Vice President of Corporate Development, Drug Discovery.
Dr. Jiang served as Senior Director, R&D at Genta, Inc.; Director, Chemistry at Gliatech, Inc.; Vice President of Chemistry of Phytera, Inc., and of Sphinx Pharmaceuticals Corp. between 1989 & 2003 and Vice President of R&D with Barbeau Pharmaceuticals, Inc., between 2005 & 2006.
Between 2004 & 2005, he acted as a Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Consultant on drug discovery and development issues in several therapeutic areas. He began his career with numerous scientific positions at American Cyanamid, Johnson & Johnson, and DuPont Pharmaceutical Companies.
Dr. Jiang has a Ph.D., Organic Chemistry, Michigan State University and is a member of American Chemical Society and American Association for Cancer Research.
Richard Donaldson, Ph.D.

Chemical Development
Dr. Donaldson is the Vice President of Chemical Development at Ricerca with responsibilities for Process Chemistry, Radiosynthesis, Process Development and Engineering, and Analytical Chemistry.
Between 2004 & 2006, Dr. Donaldson was the Director of the Process Chemistry group at Ricerca. In this capacity he was responsible for process research, plant support, radiosynthesis, and kilo lab operations, cGMP and non-GMP.
Between 1995 & 2004, Dr. Donaldson held numerous positions at Dow Chemical. In 2000, he became the Process R&D Resource Leader with responsibilities for the process research R&D group and kilo lab operations for the Dowpharma business unit of The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, MI.
Between 1981 & 1995, he held Process Research Scientist positions responsible for supporting drug development activities up to commercial scale for Marion Merrill Dow.
Dr. Donaldson has a B.S. and Ph.D., Organic Chemistry, Purdue University.
James A. Ault, RAC, RQAP-GLP

Vice President
Quality & Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Ault joined Ricerca in 1993 as Manager, Quality Assurance. He was named Director of Regulatory Affairs in 2001 responsible for Regulatory Affairs and GLP/GMP compliance at Ricerca. In 2003, Mr. Ault was named Vice President of Biology Services with responsibilities for the operation of the Environmental Sciences, Bioanalytical, Toxicology/Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics and Microbiology Departments. In June 2005, Mr. Ault returned to the Quality Group as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, and was named Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs in February 2007.
Between 1977 & 1993, Mr. Ault was with ABC Laboratories, Inc., Columbia, MO, and held a variety of positions in Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Administration and Human Resources.
Mr. Ault is the past President of AOAC International (2004) and is a Director of the Society of Quality Assurance.
Mr. Ault has a M.B.A., Lincoln University and a B.A. Chemistry, Columbia College, Columbia, MO.
Heidi B. Nelson-Keherly, Ph.D.

Director of Client Services
Dr. Nelson-Keherly, Director of Client Services, is responsible for proposal generation and program management while acting as liason between business development and operations.
Between 2005 & 2007, Dr. Nelson-Keherly was Business Manager for Bioanalytical and Analytical Chemistry at Ricerca. In this capacity she was responsible for departmental financial profitability, proposals and program management.
Between 1997 & 2005, Dr. Nelson-Keherly held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities at Lark Technologies, a molecular biology CRO, from R&D Scientist to Laboratory Director.
Dr. Nelson-Keherly has a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconson, as well as a B.S. in Biology from Duke University.
