Ricerca has experience conducting gastrointestinal studies throughout the spectrum of drug development. Our complete list of validated gastrointestinal in vivo models includes those relevant to acid secretion, muscosal irritation, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Ricerca assays use a broad panel of outcome measures to assess gastric secretion and motility, as well as colonic function.

With more than 25 years experience in gastrointestinal drug discovery and development, our staff is highly skilled at providing primary- through tertiary-level in vivo and in vitro models at all stages of discovery. Among our team are directors with extensive industry experience who have authored numerous peer-reviewed published articles in the gastrointestinal field. All have significant experience in preclinical pharmacology and drug development, and many have served as principal scientists and section leaders at major pharmaceutical companies.
