Ricerca Biosciences Announces the Hiring of Director of Analytical Chemistry, Lawrence R. Lima III

 

(Concord, OH; September 23, 2010)Ricerca Biosciences, a preclinical contract research organization (CRO) providing services to the biopharmaceutical industry, is pleased to announce the addition of Lawrence (Bob) Lima III, Ph.D., as director of analytical chemistry. 

 

Dr. Lima joins a team that provides a unique combination of integrated pharmaceutical development services and analytical problem solving capabilities. He will assist in creating a strategy that will expand this department, focused on delivering technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

 

“From providing analytical support for Ricerca’s preclinical drug development programs to characterizing drugs manufactured in Ricerca’s kilogram and pilot plants and identifying impurities in a client’s drug product, Dr. Lima will manage one of Ricerca’s largest and most diversified departments,” stated Rich Donaldson, Ph.D., vice president of chemical development at Ricerca. “We are excited for him to share his expertise with us.”

 

Prior to joining Ricerca, Dr. Lima’s experience included positions directing analytical departments at other CROs and also serving as a Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) team leader for pharmaceutical companies. He has directed and led the CMC activities of novel drug products from discovery through commercial launch.

 

Dr. Lima received a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California, and a Master of Business Administration from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
