Ricerca Biosciences Announces New Hire, Carlos Martínez Manchado

(Concord, OH; August 12, 2010) – Ricerca Biosciences, a preclinical contract research organization (CRO) providing services to the biopharmaceutical industry, is pleased to announce the addition of Carlos Martínez Manchado to its Analytical Chemistry department. 

Manchado joins a large team of analytical scientists that provide a unique combination of integrated pharmaceutical development services and analytical problem solving capabilities. From providing support for Ricerca’s renowned preclinical programs to characterizing new drugs manufactured in Ricerca’s kilogram and pilot plants, with identification of impurities in a client’s drug product, Manchado joins a department that focuses on delivering technical excellence. 

Prior to joining Ricerca, Manchado’s experience includes positions as a research and development director and as a structural chemistry group leader. Manchado has a reputation of supporting the needs of clients. When one of his previous employers closed operations, he partnered with his clients to complete their programs. This commitment to the client makes him an ideal fit for Ricerca’s customer service culture.

Manchado received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Havana University in La Habana, Cuba. He then began working toward obtaining both Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in organic chemistry at Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela. He has taken part in numerous industry events and has co-authored several articles for various pharmaceutical publications.
